1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Arcloop (a sole proprietorship operated from India) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Arcloop website (the Service), available at https://arcloop.tech.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

3. Definitions

  • Service — the Arcloop website, application, and API.
  • Drawing — any engineering drawing or related document (PDF or image) you upload for analysis.
  • Analysis — the automated manufacturability review produced from your drawing.
  • Personal Data — any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
  • You / User — the individual or entity using the Service.

4. Information We Collect

4.1 Information you provide

  • Account details: name, email address, and password.
  • Drawing content: the files you upload, plus any text, annotations, or markup you add.
  • Payment information: we do not collect or store your card or bank details. Payments are processed by our payment partner (Zaakpay) on their secure pages.
  • Communication: messages you send to us via email or forms.

4.2 Information collected automatically

  • Technical data: browser type, operating system, device information, IP address, and language preference.
  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, analysis sessions, and timestamps.
  • Preference data: theme preference and similar local settings.

5. How We Collect Information

  • Directly from you when you register, upload, or contact us.
  • Automatically through cookies, local storage, and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy.
  • Through third-party sign-in (Google) when you choose to use it.

6. Third-Party Analysis Providers

When you upload a drawing and accept the analysis consent, the drawing is processed by our analysis service. To produce high-quality results, portions of the drawing may be transmitted to and processed by third-party AI providers that we rely on as part of our service. These currently include:

  • Google Gemini (Google LLC)
  • Groq, Inc.
  • OpenRouter
  • Together AI, Inc.
  • Mistral AI
  • DeepInfra

This list may change over time as we tune our service. The providers process the content solely to generate the analysis you requested and do so under their own applicable terms. We only send drawings to these providers after you have given your consent on the upload page. You may withdraw consent by not uploading, or by requesting deletion of your data — see Your Rights.

7. Analytics and Tracking

We use privacy-respecting, first-party analytics to understand how the Service is used. Our analytics (PostHog) is self-hosted and served through our own domain with a strict 1-year data retention cap. It is configured to avoid collecting identifying information wherever possible. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

If you join an affiliated organisation and give your consent, we may use affiliate-tagged Google Analytics to measure campaign performance. This is optional and can be disabled at any time by clearing your settings — see the affiliate preference field at checkout or contact contact@arcloop.tech.

8. Payments

Payments are processed by our payment partner Zaakpay. When you make a purchase you are redirected to Zaakpay's secure payment page. We receive only the outcome of the transaction (success, failure, reference ID) and never see or store your card details.

9. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and storage entries to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and improve reliability. You can manage or delete these in your browser. Full details, including a table of every cookie we use, are in our Cookie Policy.

10. Data Retention

  • Drawings and analyses: processed drawings are retained only as long as needed to generate your report and are automatically deleted from active storage within 72 hours of processing.
  • Logs: diagnostic logs are retained for up to 30 days.
  • Account data: retained while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.
  • Analytics: capped at 1 year (see Section 7).

11. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including:

  • Encryption in transit via TLS.
  • Encryption of stored account credentials.
  • Access controls so only the operator can administer the Service.
  • Shared hosting with maintained, patched software.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but will notify you and the relevant jurisdiction if a breach affects your data.

12. International Data Transfers

Your drawing may be processed by third-party AI providers located outside India (see Section 6) and our infrastructure may use cloud hosting and content-delivery services in other regions. By using the Service and accepting the analysis consent, you acknowledge these transfers when your drawing is processed.

13. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only:

  • With analysis providers (Section 6) solely to produce your report.
  • With payment processors (Section 8) to complete your purchase.
  • With hosting, analytics, and email providers we rely on to operate the Service.
  • When required by law or to protect our legal rights.

14. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights, subject to applicable law:

  • Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: update inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure: ask us to delete your account and associated data.
  • Portability: request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Withdraw consent: opt out of drawing processing and analytics at any time.
  • Object / restrict: object to processing where our legal basis is legitimate interest.

To exercise any right, email contact@arcloop.tech. We respond within 15 days. If you are unsatisfied, you may escalate through our grievance redressal process — see Section 17.

15. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from, individuals under 18 years of age. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us immediately.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available at this page with its effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Please note that this policy is currently provided in draft while the business registers, and may change without prior notice.

17. Grievance Redressal

Complaints and requests are acknowledged within 24 hours and responded to within 15 days. Email contact@arcloop.tech.

If a complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may escalate to the applicable Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (Consumer Forum), the National Consumer Helpline (call 1915 or visit consumerhelpline.gov.in), or the relevant data protection authority.
